Installation technology of pneumatic control valve

1 Observe correct installation techniques

2. Read the operation manual

before installing the valve, read the instruction manual first. The instruction manual introduces the product and the safety precautions and precautions before and during installation. Follow the instructions in the manual to ensure easy and successful installation

3. Confirm that the pipeline is clean

5. With good pipe connection practice

most control valves (regulating valves) can be installed in any position, but the most common method is to place the actuator vertically and on the upper part of the valve. If the horizontal installation of the actuator is necessary, consider adding an additional vertical support to the actuator. Ensure that the valve body is installed in such a way that the flow direction is consistent with the direction indicated by the flow arrow or the instruction manual

6. Ensure that there is enough space above and below the valve. It occupies a very important position in the experimental machine in the plastic industry, so that the actuator or valve element can be easily removed during inspection and maintenance. The space distance can usually be found on the outline dimension drawing approved by the valve manufacturer. For flanged valve bodies, ensure that the flange faces are accurately aligned so that the gasket surfaces are in uniform contact. After the flange is aligned, tighten the bolts slightly, and finally tighten the bolts in a staggered manner

proper tightening can avoid uneven gasket load, help to prevent leakage, and also help to avoid the possibility of flange damage or even cracking. When the connecting flange and valve flange are made of different materials, this preventive measure is particularly important

the impulse piping installed upstream and downstream of the control valve (regulating valve) is helpful to check the flow or pressure drop. Connect the impulse pipe to the straight pipe section away from the elbow, reducing or expanding. This position minimizes inaccuracies due to fluid turbulence. Connect the pressure connection on the actuator to the controller with 1/4 or 3/8 inch (mm) pipe. Keep a short connection distance, and try to reduce the number of pipe fittings and elbows to reduce the system time lag. If the distance must be very long, a positioner or supercharger can be used on the control valve (regulating valve)
